Thanks for your interest in the Healthy Capital District!   We are a fast-growing public health non-profit organization that focuses on improving the health outcomes of communities in the Capital Region of New York State.
By working together with area hospitals, health insurers, county health departments, catholic charities, and other health-focused organizations, HCD has been able to determine some of the major barriers to health services. HCD continues to assist in the development of initiatives to greatly reduce these barriers.
Our current initiatives include health planning, facilitated enrollment for public health insurance, elementary school-based preventive oral services, and reducing minority health disparities.

HCD provides excellent opportunities for individuals or groups to get involved, find volunteer opportunities and help support issues. We encourage you to contact Kevin Jobin-Davis, PhD at our office (518-462-7040), Monday through Friday, (9:00 AM-5:00 PM).
